Who do we turn to now?

One thing that became abundantly clear during the chaotic swings of emotion leading up to the state-sanctioned murder of Troy Davis was the absence of any recourse to justice for the victim.

As the world watched, figures of authority from petty bureaucrats to the U.S. President turned a deaf ear to the voices of millions of people of conscience, shattering popular anticipations of moral leadership. "Taking it all the way to the Supreme Court" proved to be a dead end.

This indolence was truly shocking to many, and ignited spontaneous protest around the country. And the realization that it's up to us to stop the crimes of our government.
